It’s a f*** you to anyone whose ever viewed women as walking, talking tittays, or who has tried to beat a girl down…emotionally and/or physically.
Melanie Fiona sends an empowering message with her fun, online video for “Watch Me Work.” The uptempo jam from her excellent sophomore album The MF Life…Get down with Mel and her strong, independent female movement now.
We say: Congrats to Melanie and the PenUpDolls for making a great statement through music.

…and Redd Stylez lands his first Billboard #1 record!! Last week the Usher-sang single made its way to the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop charts and currently sits at #4 on the UK singles chart! Congrats go out to Timeless client Redd Stylez and everyone involved for a HUGE record.

You have to listen to believe this… Jade Novah initially surprised her fans by not announcing the cover, promising everyone would be “excited to hear her take on it”– and she’s delivered on that promise. Re-produced by Devin Johnson (Day 26 “Bi-Polar), who crafted her last two covers, this one dons the same formula as her priors in creating a unique twist on a popular hit– in only a way Jade Novah can.
You may know her from writing songs for the likes of Mya and Melanie Fiona, or you may have heard her popular cover of Chris Brown’s “All Back” which was featured on Worldstar Hip-Hop and even got a retweet from Brown himself about the cover saying “I love this.” But either way, she is embarking on a journey to ensure you never forget who she is.
The song comes from her upcoming project entitled Shades of Jade, which releases later this month. Check out the Theshay West production below:
Last night Melanie Fiona wowed fans with a concert at the Loft in Atlanta! The space was jam-packed with fans eager to her her live takes on her new smashes and old hits and she did not disappoint. After the show, the Penup Dolls, who as we’ve said on our blog before wrote “Watch Me Work” from the current album got to spend some time with Melanie to find out how she felt about the record. You can watch a few brief moments from the conversation here!

Meanwhile, IMF Mag has weighed in on the ‘MF Life’ and given it a 4 out of 5. In describing a few of the songs, they state:
“The pace changes a bit with “Running,” which features Nas, and even more so with “Change The Record, featuring B.o.B. Both are excellent songs in their own right, with the latter being strong enough to hopefully become a single in the near future, that is, if “Watch Me Work,” the strongest uptempo track on the LP, isn’t considered next. There’s something about the “strut your stuff” attitude in this cut that makes it a great Pop song without sounding cheesy. I could drain each song on the album, but there really is no need to. The LP is, to put it simple, great.”

Soul chanteuse, Algebra has released the first song from her highly anticipated mixtape entitled Dessert Before Dinner. The track “No Joke” was produced by Timeless client LT Moe and finds sharing her standard soulful tone over LT Moe’s ode to old school.
ThisisRnB writes:
“No Joke” showcases Algebra’s sultry tones over rollin drums and sharp horns, and if this is any indication of what to expect from her next release, there is much more in store.
Take a listen here:

“The best tunes on this producer-driven collection are retro in vibe: the girl-group torch song “Bones,” “L.O.V.E.,” with John Legend, and the pounding “Watch Me Work,” which opens with a nod to the Temptations’ “Cloud 9” before settling into a generic Motown-style backbeat.”
We are extremely proud of their contribution to it!
